BOOKS

“Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit
inheritance of
generations and nations.” Henry David Thoreau
Thoreau states nicely why books are our treasures and continue to be
with each generation. They are our doors to knowledge; fill in the empty
holes in our minds. The authors of books can reveal many significant
messages about various topics and can influence the way we see things.
There are many variety of subject books that can teach us and help us
use the information in the world. They are the riches that are passed
down from generation to generation that teach about who we were before
and who we are now.
There are those that are born into families of poverty, and don’t get
the chance to succeed because they arent able to get the right
education. No matter from what side of the block you come from the
access to a book is always available. There are free libraries that
have been established in order to assist people with reading. The fact
is no matter what type of book you read, you still gain information.
That person who is poor can still obtain information from books on their
own. Where there is a leak in a mind, a book can fill it. It provides
us the hope to succeed. Take for example, the young girl in New York
City who was in harsh poverty conditions, and is now a student studying
in Harvard. Her case is publicly known, and a film has been made.
During the tough times she always had a book in her hands.
It is the author of a book that provides empty pages with important
information. Without a person writing there would be no such thing as a
book. Writers do their research before writing a book, and the
resources that they use are written by other writers. Books and reading
material in general help writers write, and us learn. Authors can
write about various topics and include important messages.
